(NBC News) There's a special occasion this weekend that you may have forgotten, but don't worry, chances are your father probably forgot, too.
Sunday is Father's Day, and a new RetailMeNot.com survey finds it's the "most forgotten" holiday of the year. It also revealed that people spend much more on Mother's Day.
But don't worry. Dads expect less.
"We actually found that in our recent survey that moms really felt that they deserved a gift, where dads, all they want is family time and a gift card and they're happy," says RetailMeNot's Trae Bodge.
However, if you're catching on that this is really more of a reminder to benefit dads, a survey from FatWallet.com that asked dads what they really want turned up tools, especially the battery-operated, cordless type as a top choice, followed closely by tech products and accessories.
