WASHINGTON, D.C. (NBC News) -- Along with investigators finally being granted access to the wreckage of Malaysian Air Flight 17 on Tuesday, the US has now released some intelligence reports about the crash.
These intelligence reports confirmed that the United States did, in fact, track a missile headed towards Flight 17, and that while it came from a rebel controlled territory, they have no direct evidence of Russian involvement.
The pro-Russian rebels also turned over Flight 17's black boxes. They're expected to confirm the plane was shot down.
Meanwhile, the train carrying 200 sets of remains made it outside the warzone. The bodies will be identified in Amsterdam.
