CARSON CITY (KSNV MyNews3) -- There's one major player who hasn't made it over to the legislative building just yet: Gov. Brian Sandoval.

News 3 Capitol Correspondent Mackenzie Warren sat down with the governor for an exclusive interview Tuesday.

Sandoval's budget would pay to bring full-day kindergarten to nearly half of Nevada's schools, but democrats wonder if his proposal is enough.

Sandoval also wants Nevada to continue its recovery and says a tax hike would disrupt the healing.

He's prepared to challenge Speaker Marilyn Kirkpatrick's broad-based tax reform, but says he needs to see Kirkpatrick's plan first.
