CARSON CITY, Nev. -- There are 64 days down in the legislative session which means lawmakers are more than halfway to the final 120 day mark.

To find out how things are moving, News 3's capitol correspondent Mackenzie Warren pinned down the hardest person to get a hold of in Carson City -- Assembly Speaker Marilyn Kirkpatrick.

Speaker Kirkpatrick is a bit like a pin ball -- bouncing back and forth from hearing to hearing and all through the hallways. She is often stopped by lobbyists who want her attention, or lawmakers that need her help.

This is day 64 of the legislative session and that means lawmakers are more than half way through..

Kikrpatrick has never had to close out a session but we asked her if she has what it takes to avoid a special session.
