Death Valley celebrates 100th anniversary of its hottest day

DEATH VALLEY (KSNV & MyNews3) -- One hundred years ago today in the barren moonscape of Death Valley a thermometer reached a scorching 134 degrees.

This is the hottest temperature ever recorded on the planet.

News 3's Jerry Brown joins us from Death Valley to tell us about an anniversary we are used to celebrating.
