1 hospitalized for smoke inhalation after apartment fire

LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) -- A person is being checked for possible smoke inhalation after an apartment fire on the west side of the valley this morning.

The fire was reported shortly before 10 a.m. in the 5800 block of West Lake Mead Boulevard at the Crossing Apartments.

Las Vegas Fire & Rescue information Officer Tim Szymanski reported that a fire in a downstairs apartment was extinguished and there was no damage to the units on either side.

The occupant of the apartment was being checked for possible smoke inhalation. No other injuries were reported.
