LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) – A 16-year veteran of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department was placed on unpaid administrative leave after his arrest by Metro detectives on felony charges involving fraudulent workers’ compensation activities.
John A. Wilson, 46, surrendered Monday at the Clark County Detention Center and was charged with fraud, theft and attempted theft. He is out on bail.
Wilson has been with Metro since August 1996. He was assigned to the LVMPD Traffic Bureau.
The Nevada Attorney General’s Office will assume the ongoing investigation and prosecution of this case.
