Accident in funeral procession injures three, one critically

LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) -- Three people were injured Saturday afternoon, one of them critically, when a car in a funeral procession ran a red light and hit a motorcycle, according to Metro police.

The accident occurred about 1:15 p.m. at H Street and West Lake Mead Boulevard in front of the Las Vegas Culinary Academy when a car in the procession ran a red light while traveling southbound on H Street. It collided with a motorcycle headed westbound on West Lake Mead with a green light showing.

The male driver of the motorcycle was reported in critical condition at UMC while his female passenger suffered unknown injuries. The driver of the vehicle was also take to UMC with unknown injuries.

The investigation of the accident is ongoing and traffic in the area is delayed. West Lake Mead was closed to traffic for some time. Metro initially did not have the make or model of the vehicle or motorcycle.

It was a funeral procession and the motorcade escorts directing traffic signaled for them to turn. Dude on the bike was disrespectful and did heed like everyone else driving in the same direction as he, cuz if he was in the right then it should've been a multi car accident involving the ppl driving in the same direction he was.
