LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) --
The ban on glass bottles recently enacted at the Fremont Street Experience may soon spread to the Las Vegas Strip.
The Clark County Commission is expected to introduce an ordinance banning glass beverage containers when it meets for its regular meeting Tuesday.
The panel could vote on the ordinance when it meets again on Sept. 16.
If approved, beverage containers would have to be plastic or metal. Customers who purchase beverages in glass containers can still transport them to another location if they are put into a bag with the receipt visible on the outside of the bag.
The ban could begin 10 days after the ordinance is approved.
