LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) – The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has found a body today in the northeast part of the valley, and Metro sources tell News 3 that the body may be that of a missing 10-year-old girl.
Metro is scheduled to address the media at 3:30 p.m. at Dorrell Lane and North 5th Street in North Las Vegas, near the scene where the body was located.
Jade Morris, 10, was last seen Friday evening with Brenda Stokes Wilson, who reportedly was going to take Jade Christmas shopping. Wilson was arrested later that evening after an attack on a co-worker at the Bellagio.
Philip Morris and Tejuana Reeves, Jade’s parents, contacted Red Rock Search and Rescue today to canvas Wilson’s neighborhood, near Rainbow Boulevard and Wigwam.
Morris confronted Wilson during her appearance Wednesday at the Regional Justice Center.
"Where's Jade? I trusted you. I trusted you. You're foul, you're foul!” Morris said to Wilson. “You said you love me? Where's my baby at?"
Reeves, who also was in the courtroom Wednesday, says she wanted to jump out of her skin.
“I could describe it as just wanting to jump out of my chair and just shaking her and, you know you were the last person to look at me and walk away with my little girl and you won't tell me where she is,” Reeves said. “From mother to mother, that feels so wrong. I feel so betrayed because we trusted her with our child.”
Wilson is scheduled to return to court Friday morning.
