Boston's Napoli leaves game with dislocated finger

Chicago, IL (SportsNetwork.com) - Boston Red Sox first baseman Mike Napoli suffered a dislocated finger in the ninth inning of Tuesday's game against the Chicago White Sox.

After reaching on a walk, Napoli tried taking second on a steal. He slid into the base and his left hand jammed into the bag. His left ring finger appeared to be out of place.

Dustin Pedroia, who has inflammation in his left wrist, came on to pinch-run for Napoli and moved to second base. Mike Carp entered at first base.

After the game, the team said Napoli suffered a dislocated finger and that X- rays were negative.

Napoli came into Tuesday's game hitting .300 with three home runs and nine RBI in 13 games.
