LAS VEGAS (KSNV & MyNews3) -- Just days before Christmas, the parents of Brazyl Ward have received the best gift they could ask for.
Their 6-year-old daughter, hit by a car on Halloween, is showing major signs of improvement.
This truly is the miracle before Christmas for the Ward family.
All Brazyl Ward’s parents asked for this holiday season was to see their daughter get better and today she is, and her mother has a special surprise for her little girl
It has been a long and hard fought few weeks for 6-year-old Brazyl Ward and her parents Brandon and Tiffany.
On Halloween night their lives changed forever.
While out trick or treating with her family Brazyl was hit by a hit-and-run driver. She was rushed to University Medical Center where she’s been ever since.
Just a few days before Christmas her family’s prayers have been answered the little girl who endured so much is now smiling and communicating with her parentS.
In one of her many surgeries, Brazyl’s hair was shaved off, part of her skull removed. Today her mother shaved her hair in a show of support for her little girl.
"She’s smiling, she’s moving her glasses, she’s actually adjusting them to her face, she’s inspiring me and that’s the reason why I want to do this for her and have this journey with her," Tiffany Ward said. "I want her to know that we will do this journey together and I want her to know that mommy is going to be here."
Brazyl will be heading to rehab this week, where she’ll spend the next few months learning how to walk talk and dance like she used to.
