LAS VEGAS (KSNV & MyNews3) -- When you've squeezed all you can out of a budget -- cuts come next and the clock is ticking louder and louder for North Las Vegas.

City leaders have 23 days before they must prove to the state department of taxation that North Las Vegas will not go bankrupt.

News 3's Mackenzie Warren spoke to city leaders who say theirs wouldn't be the first city in Nevada history to default.

They say failure is not an option but city leaders can't close the $33 million hole alone with North Las Vegas still teetering on the brink of a state takeover, city leaders are at the mercy of their unions.

Again I'm disgusted! I lost respect for Jon Ralstons interview tonight on Face to Face with City Manager Tim Hacker! He asked appropriate questions until the end!!! Wtf?! Are you serious Jon that you would ask a question about his lease?!!!! You asked the question and beat te question to death! Jon you were so out of line?!! That was such a union planted question it was not a corroborated question!! You were trying besmirch him! Shame on you Jon what did the union bully you to ask that?! Total disgust! An this police guy on face to face now is lying about numbers and 20 million given! Such a joke! I challenge Jon to really find out what cops and fire really gave and it ain't close to 20 million!!
