Sack lunch from home or buy it on campus? This is a decision families will be making next week as kids head back to school here in the valley. But did you know the food offered by the Clark County school district may be better for your child? News 3's Denise Rosch took a tour of the central kitchen.

LAS VEGAS --
Classes don't begin until Monday, but employees at the Clark County School District Food Service Department have already begun preparing food for more than 100,000 students who will eat meals in school cafeterias beginning next week.

The assembly lines were in full production Thursday, preparing a variety of foods.

Parents are reminded that if they believe they qualify for the federal Free and Reduced Lunch program, they can fill out applications online at www.applyforlunch.com.

Households without online access can utilize the computer in the reception area at their child's school to complete the application process.
