LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) -- The Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation held a vigil for Michelle Walters Thursday night.
Walters is the woman killed Monday morning at her Boulder City home by her husband, Metro Lt. Hans Walters, who also killed their 5-year-old son, Max, before taking his own life.
Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation was an organization Walters dedicated much of her time to by helping put on camps for kids with cancer and other deadly diseases.
A former camper tells News 3 she was loving, fun and sometimes a little silly.
Michelle Walters was also a Metro cop but retired in 2005.
A motive for why Hans Walters committed the heinous murder-suicide has not been established.
