LAS VEGAS (KSNV & MyNews3) -- News 3 has a special report on a synthetic street drug that has police scrambling. It is bath salts sold to teens and it is cheap and easy to make.

News 3 has the information you need to know about this cocaine copy-cat chemical killer.

These drugs have nothing to do with bathing but instead these o-called "bath salts" are snorted, smoked or injected. The bottom line is that they are destroying lives.

News 3’s Reed Cowan is investigating.

A lot of parents wouldn't even know what these drugs looks like. People familiar with these drugs say they're the newest evil on the drug scene.

Made by your run of the mill "street chemists" they can contain any number of chemicals designed to destroy. The father of a Clark County teen gave News 3 some seemingly innocent containers of a synthetic drug he says killed his son.

Would you know what these drugs look like if you found them? After Reed’s report, we hope you will.

SwimDad and Gina, I would love to help join the fight against the selling of these horible and potent synthetic drugs. Please tell me how I may be of assistance to you both. I have plenty of time and would be more that willing to volunteer my time to supporting the fight against these horrible drugs.

I'm Robb Sirat, Jay's father. Go into ANY smoke shop or tatoo parlor in Las Vegas. They'll gladly tell you about "bath salts" or "spice". I have spoken to City and County employees, CCSD and UNLV employees, CCSD and UNLV students and Casino workers at EVERY level who have used these deadly drugs to get high and to avoid detection on drug tests.

I just heard the story on the son who died from this horrible drug and am not sure where they can be bought but i would be happy to join a force that would help take all these deadly chemicals out of these so called smoke shops. If there is such a program or not I would be more than happy to start it. I am so sorry for anyone who experiences something so horrible. Life is hard enough than to have to worrry about our children experimenting such a thing. we need to make it where it is not available. it is lethal so it should be a federal offense to be sold. let me know if I can help in any way. ginarevelation@gmail.com
