Suspect indicted in 2013 sexual assault at MGM Grand

LAS VEGAS (KSNV – A Clark County grand jury this morning indicted a man accused of a violent sexual assault against a woman in 2013.

Li Zheng, a California resident and naturalized U.S. citizen from China, is accused of kidnapping and sexually assaulting a woman who was visiting the MGM Grand to celebrate a birthday of a family member. Bail was set at $500,000.

Also indicted was Kelly Jory, 49, on one count of possession of a stolen vehicle. Jory, who is in the Clark County Detention Center for a probation revocation, is accused of trying to enter an evidence vault to retrieve stolen property. Prosecutors say Jory has eight previous felonies and five prison stints on his record.

Bail was set at $50,000. His next appearance is set for 8:30 a.m. Aug. 4.
