LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) – No one was injured after a fire this morning in a commercial building on the east side, according to a release from Las Vegas Fire & Rescue.

Fire dispatchers received several calls of a fire and possible explosion at 3:33 a.m. in the 3000 block of Contract Avenue, near 30th Street east of Charleston.

On arrival smoke and flames were showing from a 2-story brick office-type building. Firefighters forced entry into the building and found a fire on the first floor and quickly doused the flames.

Heat and smoke spread throughout the business. Preliminary damage estimate is between $50,000 and $100,000. An official estimate will be calculated after the investigation is complete.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
