The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said it has arrested two women suspected in a shooting March 7 in the 7200 block of Copper Road.
Ashley Garcia, 19, and Melissa Heath, 30, who were already in custody on unrelated charges of burglary and grand larceny auto in the 9700 block of Las Vegas Boulevard South, were re-booked in relation to the earlier shooting.
Garcia and Heath are housed at the Clark County Detention Center where they both face charges of attempt murder, conspiracy to commit murder, burglary and burglary while in possession of a firearm.
According to Metro, the male victim and his wife drove to their son’s home at the 7200 block of Copper Road and interrupted a burglary in progress.
The victim saw a vehicle parked in the driveway with a female in the driver's seat. A second female exited from inside the residence and confronted the victims.
She entered the vehicle and grabbed a handgun, firing at the victim from inside the vehicle. The driver's side window was shattered and the victim was struck on the hand.
