LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) -- A 26-year-old North Las Vegas man has been identified as the victim of a single motorcycle accident shortly before noon Saturday on East Desert Inn Road.
Timothy Wayne Sharp Jr. died at Sunrise Hospital a few hours after he lost control of his 2000 Kawasaki Ninja sport motorcycle as he was traveling at a high rate of speed eastbound on Desert Inn near Swenson Street.
The Clark County coroner's office said today that Sharp died of multiple injuries from the accident.
Metro's fatal detail reported the motorcycle went off the right side of the roadway and stuck a light pole on the south sidewalk of Desert Inn road just west of Swenson Street.
Sharp was transported to Sunrise Trauma with critical injuries and later was pronounced dead.
The fatality was the 72nd in Metro's jurisdiction this year.
