LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) --
The Nevada Supreme Court
will hear a challenge today to the Clark County Coroner's inquest process involving officer-involved shootings with local police departments.
There are currently 19 cases of deadly use of force by law enforcement that have yet to make it through the process, with cases that go as far back as 2010.
Justices will consider whether the reforms passed by the Clark County Commission, including allowing an ombudsman to represent families of the deceased, violate the state constitution.
