LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) -- On the Strip's north end, one Clark County commissioner knows it's going to take more than picking up the trash to turn things around.
Each month Commissioner Chris Giunchigliani makes it a point to walk the north end of the Las Vegas Strip.
“People don't think the north end will ever come back. I disagree,” Giunchigliani said. “Many executives have not walked out into the front of their house, and so as a commissioner I should work into the front of their house and back of their house and see what's going on.”
It's one little fix-it after another, and this time: it was not the empty lots that caught her eye.
Beyond the litter and the stalled projects, it was on one of those walks that Giunchigliani noticed something different: this travel kiosk. To her, something didn't look quite right.
Giunchigliani busted a cluster of kiosks for operating without proper licensing. They were shut down last week.
Still, stalled construction remains a concern.
