LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) – C.J., the chimpanzee who twice escaped from her Las Vegas cage in a residential neighborhood, arrived this afternoon at her new home in Bend, Ore.
C.J is one of two chimps that escaped July 12 from their cage. Her companion, Buddy, was shot and killed by a Metro officer, and C.J. was tranquilized and captured.
When the chimp escaped a second time recently from her enclosure at a home near Jones and Ann Road, her departure to the Chimps Incorporated sanctuary was accelerated.
