LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) -- The 19-year-old man accused of running down a couple while he was high on marijuana will plead guilty to DUI charges.

Investigators say Cristian Diaz was high on marijuana when he lost control of his car and hit the teenagers while they were walking on the sidewalk near Centennial Parkway and Clayton on new year’s day.

Jesse Hill, 18, was killed. His girlfriend, 16-year old Anne Marie Ricci, was seriously injured.

Diaz faces a sentence of two to 20 years in prison.
