LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) – A man was killed this morning after his vehicle left a street and struck a power box in a residential northwest neighborhood.
According to a Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department news release, a 65-year-old driver of a 2012 Toyota Prius was traveling westbound on Button Willow Drive approaching Crooked Corner Street around 1:45 a.m. when the vehicle left the road to the right and hit the power box.
He was transported to Summerlin Hospital Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased by medical personnel.
The preliminary investigation revealed the driver may have had a medical episode before the collision.
The cause of death will be determined by the Clark County coroner’s office. The accident remains under investigation.
