Entertainer Steve Rossi laid to rest

LAS VEGAS (KSNV & MyNews3) -- Friends, family and colleagues are paid their respects to a legend in Las Vegas entertainment. At the age of 82, Steve Rossi lost his battle with cancer and was laid to rest Friday.

Many of Rossi's closest friends got up to speak and just told joke after joke.

That's how Rossi lived his life and that's how he's being remembered.

He was a comedian with a great voice who sang and performed along side his long time partner Marty Allen.

The duo of Allen and Rossi made it big when they opened for the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan show back in 1964.

Rossi went on to entertain audiences for the rest of his life, he performed up until he was 81-years-old.

News 3 spoke to his old partner Marty Allen about the entertainer they lost.
