The former CEO of the company that once operated the now defunct southern Nevada Cancer Institute is facing charges related to child pornography and trying to engage in unlawful sex. News 3's Sandra Gonzalez joins us live in studio with more with what happened in court.

LAS VEGAS -- The former CEO of the now defunct Southern Nevada Cancer Institute was released from custody Friday by a federal judge.

Michael Steven Goldman is facing charges related to child pornography and trying to engage in unlawful sex.

Goldman came into court wearing jail garb but put on a jacket before facing Judge George Foley. The judge allowed Goldman to be released, but under strict conditions as this is an ongoing case.

Court documents show Michael Steven Goldman AKA Mickey Goldman was arrested in January on charges of unlawful sexual activity, coercion and enticement, and transporting child pornography.

The complaint states an uncover officer posed as father on a website who was engaging in sexual activity with his teenage daughter. None of this was true, but it was a trap. And when the bait was set, and man who later identified himself as "Mickey" from the Las Vegas area bit.

The document in detail luridly describes how the two men met in a chat room, and progressed to email in which pornographic pictures of children were sent to the undercover officer.

The complaint also describes that they eventually agree for Mickey to meet the cop’s fake 13 year old daughter at a local casino/hotel for sex.

Judge Foley has allowed Goldman to be released under house arrest with Goldman’s wife as custodian. He will monitored by GPS, and his computer will also be monitored, as he is not allowed to view anything pornographic or erotic; and is not allowed any contact with minors.

When Goldman's company took over the HR for UCSD, I was on medical leave. When I got back to work, and had my first conversation with him, I had a bad "gut feeling" about him. What really turned me off with him was when he referred to the department as a "false sense of security" He continued to use that phrase with his guests from time to time. I too, along with WMC1961, was one of the "Final 4" in the department to be let go.

If he can do something so hideous what else was he capable of? He burned a lot of bridges and should be castrated.

He got rid of the security staff that I was apart of. I now wonder was he bringing girls in after hours? There were only 4 of us left when he got rid of the department.

He was my former boss at NVCI. He got rid of the security department. Now I know why.
