LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) -- More than 3,000 students received their college degrees Tuesday evening at UNLV.
The university conducted its fall commencement ceremony at the Thomas and Mack Center.
Nearly 60 countries were represented at the ceremony, with graduates as old as the young age of 75.
A familiar face to foodies received an honorary degree at the ceremony -- celebrity chef Guy Fieri.
Fieri says he's very humble to be given the opportunity to come back and walk with fellow grads a second time.
"What an amazing opportunity,” he said. “Graduating a long time ago at UNLV and walking the stage was the biggest milestone I had in my life, and then now to have this happening. I'm just blown away. Very honored.”
Former Nevada Gov. Bob Miller also was honored with the Distinguished Nevadan Award.
