LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) -- Officials with Ka have confirmed that the final scene will likely be cut from the show when it returns, a date that has not been determined.
"We are still fully cooperating with OSHA investigation and doing our evaluations," Cirque director Renée-Claude Ménard wrote today in an email to News3. "It is very unlikely that Battle Scene will be in the show when we resume performances."
Ménard said the show will not return before July 16 as OSHA investigates what happened June 29 when veteran acrobat Sarah Guyard-Guillot fell about 90 feet from a vertical stage during the final scene.
She died on her way to UMC Trauma.
The Occupational Safety & Health Administration probe could take up to six months.
Guillot-Guyard’s death was the first onstage fatality in Cirque’s 29-year history.
