HENDERSON -- A fire at a strip mall near Sunset and Gibson roads caused about $10,000 in damage Saturday morning.
The occupant called 911 after smelling smoke and finding a fire in the rear of the building.
The call came in at 9:30 a.m., according to Battalion Chief Scott Satterlee. The first engine arrived and found smoke come out from the roof of a single-story commercial strip mall.
The fire caused damage throughout the business; it was determined to be accidental. The remainder of the building was not damaged by the fire. The loss is estimated at $10,000.
