Firefighters overwhelmed by outpouring of community support

LAS VEGAS (KSNV & MyNews3) -- In times of emergency many people are eager to help first responders by donating food water and supplies. Las Vegas has done more than its share of support.

But, in this case, firefighters say there is a better way to give. News 3's Denise Rosch is outside the command post where people are donating with the best of intentions--but there can be such a thing as too much.

The Las Vegas community continues to open its heart to firefighter and is donating all sorts of food and water. While the support is appreciated, the command post at Centennial High School has been overrun.

They've now set up a drop-off point for all the bottled water.
