Friends in disbelief over woman's Metro shooting death

LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) -- There are more details about a weekend incident where a woman suspected of stealing a vehicle was shot and killed by five Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department officers.

Police say that when they found her she had a gun that she refused to put down.

News 3's Gerard Ramalho has more details about the woman, 49-year-old Sharmel Edwards.

@Flatbush.... Somehow cowards like you always want to get your two cents in to bash and slander the police. First of all I doubt you would ever in your life have the balls to wear the badge and uniform and take the abuse they take from idiots like you and the this woman. Second, if that gun had been pointed your way you wouldn't have defended yourself? You sound like a pissed off ex-con. The police Officers are just not hard wired to run around slaughtering people, but they are ready to defend themselves. People like you need to remember one thing, "It's better to be silent and thought a fool then open your mouth and relieve all doubt."

They don't call 'em "murdering metro" for no reason. I'll bet the guy wishes he never called them. Just like that Mother a while back who's kid was shot dead all the while she is telling them he wont hurt her. Call the cops thinking they will help a loved one in crisis and odds are they will be slaughtered at the slightest excuse. One lies, the other eight line up to swear to it. Standard operating procedure. Remember, you voted for it.
