“Sanson talks about the Gibson shooting” I have made this a personal mission to get involved because of my knowledge of this case. First of all Gillespie reported to the media that Gibson used his vehicle as a battering ram. This is a lie the same way he lied about Calvin Darling being a drunk driver who killed Officer James Mannor and that false statement cost Metro and tax payers over $125,000. WE both know that there is a lot of corruption in Metro lead by a corrupt leader who had two calls of domestic violence to his home, told officers to get the “F” off his property because they don’t have arrest powers, and remove the call to his home from the Police Computer System or (SCOPE). So let me tell you what I know from Police Officers on the scene. Officer Jesus Arevalo knew of the plan to take Gibson alive based on sworn statements from his fellow officers, Arevalo was suppose to alert dispatch when he deployed an AR 15, ironically it is the same weapon used to kill Gibson. Whey didn’t Arevalo used his side arm? Arevalo squeezed the trigger of the high power rifle not once, not twice, not three times, not four times, not five times, not six times, but seven consecutive times killing Gibson instantly to the back of the head (execution style). Officers on the scene had already determined that Gibson was unarmed. Officers on the scene already determined that Gibson had been picked up for a psychological evaluation, because they ran his plates. Jesus Arevalo was transferred to the Northwest Command recently because of disciplinary actions in his LVMPD Confidential Records, His fellow Officers stated the following “it is only a matter of time for Arevalo to have something of this magnitude, cause he walks around with a chip on his shoulder”,, there were almost three dozen police officers on the scene that night. Arevalo was the only police officer that did not hear the command? We both know that Metro Radio System has been having problems from wh

It's interesting how the cops come up with an excuse to gun down someone and the grand jury manages to arrive at the findinds they did. A mistake in communications was the reason a man that served his country was killed by a rogue cop. But that must be the order of the day in this city. I believe the Clark County Prosecuter's office is a joke. That bigoted cop murdered an innocent, unarmed black man and got away with it scott free. This clearly send a message that it's acceptable to kill someone and when the excuse is there was a mistake in communtication, the cowards on the grand jury allow this animal to walk.

What kind of a whitewash is going on here! Ok Gillespi, Where is that transparency that you promised but didn`t come through with. We the people could use some of that about now. Wasn`t that a team of professionals trying to get Gibson under control? Was there not a leader in command? If so why doesn`t Arevalo in communication with the leader? I`m sure he has a radio. Even if he doesn`t for some strange reason, what would possess this lone wolf to shoot a man who isn`t an immediate threat to his life without a direct order from his leader? wHY SHOOT HIM SEVEN TIMES? What do you know that the people who pay wages don`t know. A lot of people in this town have trust issues with the people that they pay to protect them. That being said, why are they trying to cover this up rather than trying to clear it up? To the under informed, this really stinks of an assasination and a cover-up. Maybe thekingofbail is right. Maybe our protectors are as corrupt as many of us think they are. This case might be a good example. I hope this investigation goes to much higher authorities. I think it may be time to clean house in this town.

As usual, the cops get away with murder. I realize the cops are a necessary evil but this was a no brainer. Gibson was just sitting in his car. He wasn't doing anything but refuse to get out. But the cop that killed him a long history of complaints by citizens and even internal problems with the force. He should have been found at least for negligent homicide. Oh wait this is Las Vegas, that never happens.

I would love to do a background on those jurors and see how they got chosen. I imagine the Police Union and David Roger has some influence getting the right jurors. The normal public has outcries for justice, so these jurors had to be handpicked to drop the indictment. That of course is my own opinion.

Why did the article forget to mention what Gibson was doing when the shots were fired?
