LAS VEGAS (KSNY MyNews3.com) -- Metro has found about 1,500 marijuana plants total in three rental homes in the southwest part of the valley.

An unnamed man has been arrested for illegal marijuana growing. His name and mug shot will be released, according to Metro Officer Larry Hadfield.

The man was arrested on Friday when Metro began an operation to clear about 760 plants from a house on the 3700 block of Lily Haven Avenue, near Patrick Lane and Sandhill Road.

Later on during the investigation, Metro found 460 plants in a house on the 10700 block of Tawny Buck and also found 425 plants in a residence on the 8000 block of Wards Ferry.

The 760 plants confiscated Friday have an estimated street value of $800,000.

Metro's Hadfield said the house on the 8000 block of Wards Ferry also had a 5-foot alligator that has been turned over to animal control.
