LAS VEGAS (AP) -- Authorities say a man jailed during the investigation of a 1-year-old boy's death is being held on separate arrest warrants issued following a misdemeanor theft conviction last October and a misdemeanor possession of stolen property conviction in February.
Las Vegas police Officer Larry Hadfield on Wednesday identified 36-year-old Bransen Garret Locks as the man jailed on the unrelated charges.
Hadfield says detectives are still investigating how the child received fatal injuries earlier this month.
The Clark County coroner hasn't identified the boy.
He died Monday after being hospitalized May 19 with severe injuries after paramedics were summoned to a home west of downtown.
Jail records show that Locks is due in court Monday.
Public defense attorneys who represented him in the February case didn't immediately respond to messages.
