LAS VEGAS (KSNV & MyNews3) -- There isdramatic new video of Friday's deadly jet crash and word tonight the pilot once had his license to fly taken away.
News 3's Marissa Mike is back from Boulder City with the latest information. The video of the crash is from a News 3 viewer who caught the jet in flight just before the deadly crash.
There is a huge cloud of dust created upon impact and even though the plane pancaked to the ground, the engines kept running which is why so much dust is continuously kicking up from the ground.
The pilot of the jet is 65-year-old Douglas Gilliss a ground instructor of Solano beach, Calif.
His passenger was 65-year old Richard Winslow of Palm Desert, Calif., was also killed in the crash
News 3 learned the FAA revoked Gillis' license in 2009 after he was accused of falsifying documents of a pilot involved in a separate deadly crash killing both people on board that aircraft.
That accident happening in Tehachapi, Calif., this is video of that scene and was a deadly accident looking very much like the one that ended up killing Gilliss.
