LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) -- Two 11-year-old local boys charged with killing kittens will return to court today for a plea hearing.
The boys each face seven felony charges.
The last time they were in court, the judge asked for more psychological tests.
A judge placed the boys on house arrest after their first court appearance in family court.
The boys are accused of throwing rocks at a mother cat as she was giving birth to the kittens at an apartment complex near Fort Apache and Russell in early October.
Six kittens ultimately died.
A member of the Nevada Political Action for Animals said back then that she thought the additional tests the judge ordered were a step in the right direction but felt they should receive the maximum penalty.
If convicted, the boys could face time in juvenile detention. Each boy is looking at a maximum of 30 days and probation.
