LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) – Nevada lawmakers are asking for a review of its 20-year solar contract the state has with Sierra Solar.
The Nevada News Bureau reports those lawmakers put that request in with the attorney general's office.
They want to see if the price of 15 cents-per-kilowatt hour can be modified because the rate is higher than what it would cost to buy directly from NV Energy.
The state budget director says renegotiating would be difficult because of the investments already made by Sierra Solar.
The 20-year contract was ratified in December 2010.
