The minig industry hasn't paid their fair share for over 80 years and the Nevadan politicians are finally getting a clue? Really? Took all that time huh... You guys up for a raise and can't get one because there is no money in the state's coffers? The mining industry profits are in the mega-billions, after deductions they pay 1%, other states tax their mining industrys at over 20%: do the math...education in this state would get a huge boost, programs on the cutting block might not get cut, public services could get back on track. AND how about we go back, oh, say, 50 years, not even the 80 plus years they've enjoyed almost tax free profits, money, money, profits, and 'sue' them for back taxes?? Sould like a plan to me... Now all we need is some politicians, not on the mining 'payroll', with some cahonna's to stand up for once in their political career, do the right thing, and make they pay!!! I won't hold my breath...
