LAS VEGAS (KSNV & MyNews3) -- A Las Vegas man convicted of killing a woman and wounding her two children with a machete in 2007 was spared his life today.
News 3's Sergio Avila has been in court all day and joins us from the Regional Justice Center where today a jury decided on life without parole and no death penalty for Victor Cruz Garcia.
The brutal machete attack left Beatriz Alvarez dead and her children inured. Jurors decided last week that Victor Cruz Garcia killed Alvarez with a machete five years ago.
