LAS VEGAS (KSNV -- Christmas came early for a little boy living with some pretty big challenges.

Make A Wish of Southern Nevada teamed up with other local nonprofits and volunteers to give little Aiden a complete sensory makeover for his room.

He suffers from a neuromuscular disorder and severe developmental challenges. The new room will be a big help with his developmental therapy.

Aiden has a 3-year-old brother with the same diagnosis who will also benefit from the room. His mother, Lisa Loftfield, became emotional when talking about what this means to the family.

“The swing that they are putting in helps with the sensory issues like holding on and just the movement of the swing is wonderful for him,” she said. “All the lights, all the sound, all the vibration that will be in the room just makes him feel good, and he can do more things on a daily basis.”

The new room includes special lights and sound and motion toys.
