LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) -- Gary Hosey Jr., the man who police say is responsible for a horrible bus stop crash that killed four, is due in court this morning.

Hosey, 23, will appear before a judge at the Regional Justice Center to face four charges of DUI causing death.

Police say Hosey has a lengthy criminal history in Las Vegas. Within the past two years he has been arrested for possession of marijuana, obstructing a public officer, lewd conduct and larceny.

Police say Hosey was speeding upward of 100 mph early Thursday morning when he lost control of his black Chevy Monte Carlo and barrel rolled right over a bus stop on Spring Mountain and Decatur.

Seven people were standing at that stop. Four were killed, while three others were taken to the hospital.

Police say Hosey had four passengers with him, all of whom were taken to the hospital. Hosey suffered serious injuries and was arrested and booked in the hospital.

He was released and taken straight to the Clark County Detention Center early Friday evening

I watched the news tonight, he says he drank 1 beer! Find out the bar that served him, question the bartender and find out!! And if he was drunk then the bartender failed to do their job and the bar should be fined too. That's why there's tam cards and training but the problem is if you "cut them off" there goes the tip is the thinking. Be smart people save a life!!!

"especially since Gary Hosey was a good fried of mine and dispite the media`s responses to such tragedy he was a good person just a little mis guided, and it breaks my heart to see him living out this movie." Maybe you should get better friends. Nothing about his criminal record, in the past two years, points to him being a good person. Do you know what larceny is? How about lewd conduct? Obstructing an officer? I would probably not go around announcing that your heart goes out to this waste of human being too often. It makes you look like a fool.

I feel deeply sadden for the families of the victims, I cant fathum the pain that they are going thru. This was truly a tragedy, but for both sides I feel especially since Gary Hosey was a good fried of mine and dispite the media`s responses to such tragedy he was a good person just a little mis guided, and it breaks my heart to see him living out this movie. The wrong four people died, should have been the four in the car. Some people don't deserve life or freedom...

This poor, pathetic waste of life should face murder charges he drank to excess and then he got in his car at that time the car became a weapon and he was the driving force behind the weapon innocent law abiding citizens on thier way to work and school lost their lives in 20 seconds it took this idiot to hit 100 miles plus, bottom out, then roll right into them 12 families lives have been changed forever due to this idiot punk. I hope he gets life in prison and never sees the light of day. His remark when officers came to the car was "did I make it to the liquor store"? I would have just rather spent a bullet from the gun and killed him right there waste of tax dollars and waste of life on him

My thoughts and prayers are with the vitinms and their families. When are the lawmakers in Carson City going to pass STRICTER DUI laws? A 1st time offense for DUI/DWI should be (1) Loss of driving priveleges for 1 year, (2) A hefty fine, (3) Spend time in a Coronor's office, (4)Be taken to the scene of a car accident and help clean up, so they can see first hand the aftermath. As a bus rider myself I have waited at that same stop many, many times as it is only a short walk from my apt. Until tougher laws are in place I and my fellow bus riders will be at the mercy of a drunk/impaired driver everyday!

"He was released and taken straight to the Clark County Detention Center early Friday evening" --------- Yeah, JUST AS THEY SHOULD HAVE DONE, I don't see any other options in the Road to the BIG HOUSE.
