LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) -- A man who was free while awaiting sentencing in a DUI accident that killed a 12-year-old girl last Halloween has been arrested for driving under the influence.

Justin Caramanica, 42, was arrested by Metro police  about 7 p.m. Saturday after his vehicle hit a parked car near West Sahara Avenue and South Towne Center Drive.

Caramanica was booked into the Clark County Detention Center and faces charges of failure to drive within marked lines, lack of proof of insurance, driving on a revoked license and prior DUI arrests. His first court appearance is scheduled for Tuesday morning. He is not eligible for bail because of the conviction.

Last Oct 31, Caramanica hit and killed Faith Love in the Summerlin area. He later admitted he was high on alcohol, oxycodone and marijuana. He was also speeding at the time.

Caramanica reached a plea deal with the Clark County district attorney's office and faces two to 20 years in prison. His sentencing is scheduled for Nov. 5.

If this Drunken, irresponsible jerk, or any other person who was equally irresponsible, took the life of my wife or one of my children or grandchildren, it wouldn't be the criminal "Justice" system he or she would need to worry about.

The message is not getting through. I believe this man does not live alone, what is the other person doing letting him drive. I would not be surprised it others knew about this man's plight. Maybe its time to keep any DUI driver that has been convicted in jail, it only makes sense, if they are going to serve jail time, why not start on the day they are convicted or pleads guilty. This guy was lucky, but I guess he doesn't remember much, his luck ran out last October. This guy will be behind the wheel of a vehicle again, he is not going to learn. Maybe its time to put tracking devices in convicted DUI drivers with suspended and revoked driver license, so they will not get behind the wheel of a vehicle.

Throw him in JAIL and throw the key away..How many more people does this guy get a chance to kill before he is locked up for good? One family has been destroyed by his actions do more have to be devastated before the court locks him up?
