Man crossing outside of crosswalk 'serious' after being hit by car

LAS VEGAS (KSNV -- A 70-year-old Las Vegas pedestrian was seriously injured early Saturday morning in an accident on South Boulder Highway and East Flamingo Road.

Metro reported the man was walking outside of a crosswalk as he crossed Flamingo Road at the intersection with Boulder Highway. He was struck by a 2012 Hyundai Sonata at 3:11 a.m.

The pedestrian was transported to Sunrise Hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the car remained at the scene.

The accident remains under investigation by Metro.
