LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) -- A man found stabbed to death earlier this week in a flood channel near Owens and B streets has been identified by the Clark County coroner.

Michael David Trudeau, 44, died from stab wounds to the neck and back, according to a medical examiner. The death has been ruled a homicide.

The coroner did not have a town of residence for Trudeau.

Metro officers were called to the area, just west of Interstate 15, at 2:55 p.m. Tuesday. The body appeared to have stab wounds and was already decomposing. Police say forensic evidence suggests the body had been there for about 15 to 20 days.

The death is the 30th homicide Metro has investigated this year.

Anyone with information can call Metro at (702) 828-3521 or, to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at (702)385-5555.
