LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) -- A man was critically injured in a single vehicle rollover at Frank Sinatra and Russell on Friday evening.
His condition has since been upgraded to fair.
"The car was traveling at a high rate of speed and the man was ejected and then pinned under the vehicle," Metro Lt. Ken Romaine told News 3. "The preliminary indication is that alcohol may have been involved. He was taken to UMC in critical condition after they got the vehicle off him. We are waiting for an update to possibly bring out the fatal (accident) detail."
The accident happened around 6:50 p.m. near Mandalay Bay.
The man appeared to be in his 30s and was the only occupant of the vehicle, Romaine said.
Traffic on Sinatra was stopped in both directions during the investigation.
Around 8:45 p.m., Romaine told News 3 that the man had been upgraded to fair condition and it appeared he was going to survive his injuries.
