LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) -- A 21-year-old Las Vegas man lost control of his 2005 Nissan 350Z and was killed early Friday evening when he collided with a CAT bus stopped at southeast side bus stop.
Metro reported that the unidentified man was driving his car east on East Owens Avenue at Sandhill Road when he lost control. The Nissan began to spin clockwise and the left side of the car hit the right rear of a stopped CAT bus that was loading passengers on the south curb.
The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene. The bus driver, 55-year-old Nestor Cruz of Las Vegas, was uninjured and some unidentified bus passengers received minor injuries.
The accident was the 24th fatal traffic collision in Metro's jurisdiction so far this year. The accident remains under investigation.
