LAS VGEAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) -- A 21-year-old Las Vegas man was killed Saturday night when he rear-ended a stopped CAT bus.

Metro reported that Zackary Greener drove his 2007 Dodge Caliber east on Flamingo Street at a high rate of speed and struck the rear end of a CAT bus that was stopped loading and unloading passengers on the south curb of Flamingo at a bus stop east of Sheppard Street near Boulder Highway.

Greener was pronounced dead at the scene. The operator of the bus, 54-year-old Mark Garcia, was not injured.

Seven buss passengers were transported to a hospital with minor injuries.

The death was the 50th traffic-related fatality in Metro's jurisdiction in 2013.

The collision remains under investigation.

The Clark County coroner's office released Greener's identity today and said toxicology results may take 4 to 6 weeks.

PAHOA, HAWAII - OCTOBER 26: In this handout provided by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), A portion of the front of the June 27th lava flow burns through thick vegetation and a fence on October 26, 2014 in Pahoa, Hawaii. Scientists of the Hawaiian Volcano Observatory conducted ground and air observations of the lava flow from the Kilauea Volcano and determined that it was 510 meters (560 yards) upslope from Pa-hoa Village Road and the flow width was about 50 meters (55 yards) at the leading edge. Molten rock from the flow is inching its way towards homes in the town of Pahoa on Hawaii's Big Island where close to a thousand people live. (Photo by USGS via Getty Images) (Handout, 2014 USGS)
