LAS VEGAS (KSNV & MyNews3) -- A man posing as a cox cable guy knocks on a woman’s door, police say, and sexually assaulted her. Now a manhunt is underway for the imposter.

The suspect is a Hispanic man in his early 20s. He stands about 5-foot-10-inches tall and weighs about 210 pounds with a muscular build.

Authorities say the incident happened Dec. 27 at a home near West Sahara Avenue and South Durango Drive.

Las Vegas police say they believe a man was impersonating a Cox cable employee when he forced his way inside a home and sexually assaulted a woman.

Detectives say the suspect knocked on the door and pushed his way inside when the victim opened it. Police say he left after the assault and the victim called police.

Police say he was wearing a light blue, short-sleeved, button-down shirt with a "Cox" logo, along with dark blue pants and leather gloves. They don't believe he was a Cox employee but a man impersonating an employee.

A spokesman for Cox says their employees will never show up unannounced and without an appointment.
