LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) --
Metro is seeking a 27-year-old man in connection with a shooting early Saturday that killed a woman and wounded another in a restaurant parking lot on the far west side of the valley.

The suspect fired twice from a vehicle he was driving, with multiple rounds being discharged each time.

Carim Cruz, a black man about 6-foot-2 and 165 pounds, is being sought. He is described as having black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen leaving in a dark blue four-door Mercedes Benz with Nevada license plates. Cruz should be considered armed and dangerous.

Saturday at 2:37 a.m. the LVMPD call center received multiple calls reporting a shooting in the parking lot of Geisha House restaurant in the 9700 block of West Flamingo Road. Patrol officers responded and located two women suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. One was transported to the University Medical Center. The second victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The preliminary investigation initiated by Metro's homicide section indicates there was a large gathering at a restaurant. During the event, Cruz arrived at the party and got into a verbal confrontation with the victim and several other subjects. The confrontation later turned physical in the parking lot. After the fight, the suspect went to his vehicle, drove by the crowd and fired multiple rounds. As the suspect was leaving, he fired multiple rounds again. As a result, two victims sustained gunshot wounds.

The identity of the victim, as well as the cause and manner of death, will be released by the Clark County coroner’s office.

This is the 81st homicide investigated by the LVMPD the 2014.
